“ Seo Chon is now Hankki. The menus and interior are labeled Hankki but the former name is still on the front of the restaurant. It's a small restaurant with super homey Korean vibes. I wasn't sure what to try because of the expansive menu. My friends got the kalbitang, clam (bajirak) kalguksu (knife noodles), yukgaejang kalguksu, and I got the mool naengmyun (cold noodles in beef broth). The star of the day was the kalguksu, especially yukgaejang. It's piping hot, beef noodle soup with a kick. The broth was rich a flavorful. Mool naengmyun was disappointing; there are better things on the menu (and better places to get mool naeng myun). Kalbitang was good, but for $18 it came with 3 short ribs. The banchan (side dishes) were 2 types of kimchi and soy sauce radishes. The kimchi is on the super fermented, sour side. I would come here again! ”

“ I went for lunch on a Saturdays with some friends, was not busy so we got a table quickly. The owner got our order but for some reason thought we weren't familiar with the food on the menu. Food did not take too long to come out. The donkatsu came out late because I had to notify the owner I had ordered it and the owner did not see it on his monitor that I ordered it, which I understand mistakes happen. Seafood pancake: 5/5, good flavor and crispy accompanied by good sauce Donkatsu: 2/5, Was pretty disappointing, was not crispy nor flavorful. Get something else instead. Bossam: 5/5, I recommend getting this if you do come here, was good pork, wish the lettuce pieces accompanied with it were bigger though (most were pretty skinny) ”

“ Boy oh boy. Get the garlic bossam (one of their specialties)! Bossam is so delicious and tender and the addition of the garlic adds in some sweet and nutty flavor. This is a very comforting meal, especially paired with their fresh and crunchy banchan. The shop is small, cute and unassuming. Service was good, our server did steer us in the right direction for selecting our meal. However, it took them awhile to refill our water glasses. ”

“ I think it was the owner who took our order and she was so friendly and kind with giving us recommendations! We decided to get the half and half to try both of their signatures and the bossam was really delicious. It had a great balance of fat and meat, was not dry at all, paired so nicely with the cabbage and radish and sauce. Super tender 4/5 I think the jokbal was prepared very nicely but personally was not my type of flavor as it is very rich and heavy. 2/5 The side dishes had decent seasoning but I wish they were a bit fermented rather than just being very fresh type of kimchi. A little lacking in flavor to me Would definitely come back to try their soups and get another order of bossam! ”

“ TL;DR: lots of good Korean food with different types of Jokbal and Bossam (soups/stews too) New Korean spot that specializes in bossam and jokbal. Interior was classic wooden decor, and there is plenty of seating. Service was subpar. Unfortunately some of their support workers didn't speak any English or Korean, so it was hard to communicate and did not receive some of the things we wanted (rice/salt/water). The main worker (Korean) was okay but a little condescending and not attentive until the end of the meal. FOOD: ~Bossam (3.5/5): solid but other places in Centreville have better ones. Doesn't come very seasoned, but eating it with the samjang was good. My husband liked it more than me though (probably 4/5 for him) ~Bul-Jokbal (4/5): different than your traditional jokbal. The spicy marinade was really good, and the jokbal was very soft ~Dwaeji-gookbap (3/5): needed salt. The sawoojut and spicy sauce could only do so much. The meat in it was very tender ~Cabbage (5/5): loved how salty this was. Accompanied the meats really well Overall, this place is pretty good! Would want to go back and try their other types of bossam, jokbal, and soups. ”

“ Seo Chon offers Korean dishes and a menu which emphasizes pork, and pork-centric dishes. Seo Chon, which replaced Takohachi, has a similar interior featuring a traditional wooden aesthetic. BudaeJongol - I ordered this dish, which was basically budaejigae but in a giant bowl. It was a hearty blend of ramen, tofu, sausage, and other veggies. Every spoonful was warm and comforting. The portions? Quite generous, making it perfect for sharing. The service was attentive and helpful, they poured the portions out for us at times, however, it is worth noting that we were the only patrons during our visit, so we got all the attention. That said, if that was the standard level of service, then no complaints there at all. Seo Chon has carved its own niche, offering Korean dishes in shareable, pork-centric dishes. If you're craving Korean food and pork and the Yelp/Google review images look enticing to you, try it out! ”

“ Dishes are centered around pork. I ordered this huge budae jjigae dish and it did not disappoint. Generous amount and friendly service. No complaints about seating and aesthetics of the restaurant. Definitely willing to try other dishes. ”

“ Seo Chon Korean Restaurant. Was trying to go to a neighboring restaurant but noticed a grand opening sign and decided to try. This placed replaced the takohachi location. The food was delicious!! I tried the Bossam and the meat had a nice aroma. The one lady working the tables was so friendly, it made the food taste better haha. Will def be back to try the other dishes ”
